भारतीय साहित्य एवं शोध परिषद एक ऐसा प्रतिष्ठित न्यास (Registered Trust) है जिसकी स्थापना वर्ष 2011 ईस्वी में इस दृढ़ संकल्प के साथ की गई थी कि भारत की प्राचीनतम सांस्कृतिक विरासत एवं साहित्यिक परंपरा को नवयुगीन माध्यमों के द्वारा वैश्विक पटल पर प्रतिष्ठा प्राप्त हो।

इस परिषद की स्थापना एक दूरदर्शी एवं युगानुकूल चिंतन के आलोक में की गई थी, जिसकी मूल मान्यता यह रही कि भविष्य का समय केवल भौतिक संपन्नता अथवा वैज्ञानिक प्रगति के मापदंडों पर नहीं, अपितु इस बात पर किसी राष्ट्र की महानता का आकलन करेगा कि वह अपने धार्मिक, सांस्कृतिक एवं बौद्धिक निधि को इंटरनेट तथा डिजिटल माध्यमों पर कितना व्यापक, प्रमाणिक एवं शोधोपयोगी रूप में प्रस्तुत करता है।

परिषद की यह मूल धारणा है कि—

“जो राष्ट्र अपनी सांस्कृतिक आत्मा को डिजिटल माध्यमों में सुरक्षित नहीं रखता, वह भविष्य में केवल भूगोल बनकर रह जाता है, भावभूमि नहीं।”

उद्देश्य एवं कार्यवृत्त

परिषद का प्रमुख उद्देश्य भारत की विविधवर्णी साहित्यिक परंपरा, भाषायी वैभव, लोक-ज्ञान एवं आध्यात्मिक दर्शन को संरक्षित कर नवीन पीढ़ी तक पहुँचाना है। इसके लिए वह नवीनतम तकनीकी उपकरणों एवं संचार प्रणालियों का उपयोग करते हुए भारत की वैचारिक संपदा को यथासंभव विश्वजाल (World Wide Web) पर प्रतिष्ठित कर रही है।

परिषद के मुख्य कार्य निम्नलिखित हैं –

भारतीय भाषाओं के साहित्य, शास्त्रों, पौराणिक ग्रंथों एवं लोकवाङ्मय का संकलन, सम्पादन, डिजिटलीकरण एवं वेब-प्रकाशन।
प्राचीन हस्तलिखित पांडुलिपियों का संरक्षण, लिप्यंतर एवं अनुवाद।
शोधार्थियों, शिक्षाविदों एवं विद्वानों के सहयोग से अकादमिक संगोष्ठियों, व्याख्यानमालाओं, शैक्षिक प्रशिक्षणों तथा विचार गोष्ठियों का आयोजन।
भारतीय कला, संस्कृति, दर्शन, इतिहास एवं साहित्य से संबंधित डिजिटल सामग्री का निर्माण।
ग्रामीण एवं शहरी क्षेत्र के नवलेखकों, विद्यार्थियों तथा युवाओं में सांस्कृतिक चेतना जागृत करने हेतु विशेष कार्यक्रम।

इस प्रतिष्ठान के संस्थापक एवं सेटलर हैं – श्री शीतला प्रसाद तिवारी, जो अयोध्या की पुण्यभूमि के निवासी हैं। वे बहुआयामी बौद्धिक दृष्टि, गंभीर सांस्कृतिक संवेदनशीलता एवं प्राचीन परंपराओं के आधुनिक संप्रेषण में विश्वास रखनेवाले एक विद्वान चिन्तक हैं।

उन्होंने समय के संकेतों को भलीभाँति समझते हुए यह अनुभूति की कि यदि भारतीय वाङ्मय एवं सांस्कृतिक मूल्य इंटरनेट पर उपलब्ध न हुए, तो भारत की पहचान केवल भौगोलिक इकाई के रूप में शेष रह जाएगी। उन्होंने यह संकल्प लिया कि भारतीय संस्कृति को ज्ञान के आधुनिक साधनों के माध्यम से पुनः विश्वपटल पर प्रतिष्ठित किया जाए, और उसी संकल्प की परिणति है – भारतीय साहित्य एवं शोध परिषद।

उनका यह कथन परिषद का पाथेय बन गया—
“संस्कृति वह दीप है जो अतीत का आलोक लेकर भविष्य की दिशा प्रकाशित करता है।”

विशेषताएँ एवं वैशिष्ट्य

भारतीय साहित्य एवं शोध परिषद की कार्यशैली में परंपरा और नवता का अद्भुत समन्वय है। परिषद एक ओर भारत के संत परंपरा, दार्शनिक चिंतन, महाकाव्यात्मक साहित्य, लोककथाओं और शास्त्रों को एकत्रित कर संरक्षित कर रही है, वहीं दूसरी ओर उसे वेब-पत्रिकाओं, ई-पुस्तकों, ऑडियो-वाचनों, वीडियो व्याख्यानों, शोध-लेखों और पॉडकास्ट के माध्यम से संसार के समक्ष प्रस्तुत भी कर रही है।

The Indian Council for Literature and Research is a registered trust, established in the year 2011, with the sacred resolve to preserve, promote, and rejuvenate the literary and cultural heritage of India through modern and future-ready platforms. Founded upon a farsighted and time-relevant vision, the Council is committed to the belief that in the coming era, the greatness of a nation shall not be assessed merely by its material progress or technological achievements, but by the extent to which its culture, literature, and intellectual traditions are made accessible and authentic in digital and online domains.

Objectives and Scope of Work

The core objective of the Council is to preserve India’s multilingual literary traditions, spiritual philosophy, and folk knowledge, and to transmit them to newer generations in digital form. It seeks to position India’s ancient wisdom on the global map using the tools of modern communication and information technology.

The primary functions of the Council include:

Digitization, archiving, and publication of Indian literary texts in various languages.
Preservation, transcription, and translation of ancient handwritten manuscripts.
Organizing academic seminars, lecture series, and intellectual symposiums in collaboration with scholars, universities, and research institutions.
Creation of authentic web-based content on Indian culture, philosophy, art, history, and literature.
Conducting awareness campaigns and programs to inspire youth and scholars toward Indian cultural roots.
Encouragement and mentorship for young writers, researchers, and cultural enthusiasts.

The Founder

The settlor and founding visionary of this esteemed trust is Shri Shitla Prasad Tiwari, a devoted son of the sacred city of Ayodhya. Known for his intellectual depth and cultural sensitivity, he foresaw the need to preserve India’s civilizational memory through digital means, realizing that if our scriptures, literature, and philosophy are not present on the internet, future generations may see India only as a piece of geography, and not as a spiritual or cultural entity.

His reflection became the cornerstone of the Council’s mission:

“If we fail to preserve our wisdom digitally, India may lose its soul in the age of machines.”

Special Characteristics

The Indian Council for Literature and Research combines traditional reverence with modern methodology. It gathers, edits, and presents the works of great Indian thinkers, seers, poets, and philosophers—from ancient rishis to modern sages—through e-books, podcasts, research portals, digital libraries, video lectures, and international webinars.
